Our History
Welcome to the website for Conconully Bible Camp.
Conconully Bible Camp is operated by the Okanogan County Holiness Association. The campground began in 1924 so it is rapidly approaching the year of its centennial. It came into existence as part of the Holiness movement in the early 1900’s. There are many Holiness Campgrounds still in existence even though the original organization no longer exists. The structure is non-denominational, and many different churches and denominations are represented on the Board of Directors. The Board of Directors are completely voluntary and operate according to the by-laws of the organization and the laws of non-profit organizations.
As a Bible Camp, we believe in the Bible as the authoritative word of God. We take to heart the Great Commission found in Matthew 28. In the words of Jesus, the Son of God, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely, I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” We believe this to be our task so we work to establish a place where people can go to hear of the grace of Jesus Christ and his love for all mankind. Conconully Bible Camp is a place where people can grow in their relationship to God and their relationships with each other.
As part of our work, we maintain the campground which consists of an RV park, cabins, an open-air tabernacle building (for large group meetings), and a dining hall and nursery. We offer a Family Camp the 3rd week of July every summer and we rent the facilities to any Christian church or para-church organization subscribing to our requirements of holiness. We do not rent to those in opposition to Christian values and Christian living. Our RV Park is open to individual renting and use. We do require no use of drugs, alcohol, or tobacco. We encourage people of Christian background to use the park and facilities for their personal growth. We find the camp to be a special place to meet with God away from home, work, and the cares of life.
Conconully is a small, old mining town in the hills north of Omak, Washington. It has two lakes which are irrigation reservoirs for the orchards of the Omak-Okanogan area. It is in a picturesque setting with ATV riding, fishing, hunting, and snowmobiling the local activities. The Bible Camp is an important part of the community and enjoys a positive relationship with the city. We work to maintain this relationship and ask that those who come do the same thing. It is a great place.
